Fresh Perspective

Well hello again lovelies how are you all? So the weekend is upon us again and I for one am very greatful for that. This week has been so so busy and I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my fave people!

Its been a good week though and even in the busyness there has been lots of great moments (and some not so great moments) but let’s stay focused on the ‘good stuff’!

This week I decided to take Saffie to some local woods. We hadn’t been there  for a good couple of months so it looked quite different with all the fallen leaves. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year.

The Sun was shining and the light was breaking through the gaps in the trees, my wellies were crumpling the leaves underfoot and there was a nip in the air. There are moments in my life where I feel so blessed and this was one of them. Simple things!

As I walked further round the woods the path seemed to disappear under the layers of leaves, which felt disorientating, but also exciting because it wasn’t familiar to me. I have walked Saffie around those woods so many times and the path has always been so clear and defined.

I realised then in a tangible way what I’ve been experiencing for a long time within myself. I’ve always thought that I liked predictability to know exactly what I am doing and where I am headed. This last year has been quite different and I feel more alive and excited about the future than ever.

Looking at things with a fresh perspective can be so freeing, if a little daunting at times. Like the woods can seem a very dark place but when the light shines there’s so much beauty to be found. In stepping out into new things we make ourselves vulnerable which also means open to failure, which sounds so negative, it’s not the the act of failing that’s the problem it’s the refusal to try again. It’s the path to success.

It’s like me writing this blog, I don’t know who is going to read it or if they will like it or find it helpful, but if I dont write them for fear of what others think of me I will miss out on doing something that I really enjoy.

Its an amazing journey I’m on and I’m loving it! How about you?

Whats your perspective on life? Do you think the way you look at things can change your journey? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Have a wonderful weekend ❤️

Love the picture of the woods. Outdoor scenes are my favourite. Is that Durham Road Woods? I agree with you, the way we look at things can influence how we react to certain situations. I practice mindfulness and it is very much seeing and feeling things in a different more positive way.

Yes it is, it’s such a lovely place to walk Saffie. I love how different it looks in the different seasons x
