Hey hope you all had a great weekend. It was great to have some sunny weather yesterday 😀 We had a very full on weekend, lovely but busy! I had a great time on Saturday at The Vintage Dove doing there latest window display. I used to work there a couple of days a week but circumstances changed and so I decided to spend the time concentrating more on what I wanted to do, like the blog and other things. It was so great to be in the shop again busying around. Steph wanted a country kitchen theme and had lots of new stock for it (which I must say is all very lovely). I decided to bring it all together by using a few extras like flowers, bread, eggs and some fruit. She has asked me to do the window for her every 2 weeks, which I’m really excited about as its a great ongoing project to get the creative juices flowing. Thanks Steph for asking me to do this for you it was really good fun 😉
The Vintage Dove is a fabulous little shop in Rainham that sells Autentico paint, furniture that Steph has painted, beautiful gifts and some amazing accessories for the home. It’s one of those shops that you walk into and keep ooh-ing and aah-ing at everything. It also has a coffee corner, so it’s a great place to meet friends and have a mooch!
I met Steph 6 years ago (almost to the day) at our children’s primary school. Steph and her daughter were both really upset, they had just moved to the area and so it was her first day at the school. My heart really went out to her and I asked her if she was ok, the rest, as they say, is history! We have been through a lot together in the relatively short time we have known one another and she really is a fabulous friend ❤️ I take my hat off to her, she has worked so hard, along with her partner Stephen, to make the shop work. There is so so much more to running a shop than I had realised and for someone who has never done it before, she has totally nailed it! Well done Steph, I’m proud to call you my friend and of what you have achieved❤️
